Hey Lindsey, I can relate. When I first did Protein Power in 2004 (ish, its hard to remember these days) I used to have GREAT loss weeks, crappy loss weeks, and even weeks where I plateaued or even GAINED weight.
I always tell people to try on a pair of pants that were tight at the start of the diet... often that can be a much better gauge of your "fat loss" than the scale. When you up the protein intake most people actually gain muscle AND lose fat even if they don't exercise - which is a great thing for body composition - but a confusing thing to try and quantify on the scale.
Anyways, good luck - keep the posts coming. I'm actually going to feature this post in my Friday link round-up later today. :)
Cheers!

Week 6 is notorious in Atkins for a 2 week plateau. Stick with it. I didn't start Atkins to lose weight, just to get my appetite under control. I was shocked when I did lose (massive) amounts of weight without trying. I didn't even weigh or measure until my clothes got huge. At one point, when I was finally tracking and weight got stuck & I figured ok that's as much as I'm going to lose I guess. I increased my carbs 5 grams and the next day 10# poof overnight. I don't even know how that's possible. My body wanted to make sure that there was plenty of food before the release.
Are you a pro yo-yo dieter like me? I think I could win an award for how many diets I’ve tried, how many different diet books I’ve read, and how much of the same 20-30 lbs I have lost over and over again. Does this sound familiar to you? Are you sick of being the pro yo-yo dieter around? I AM!!! I want to give up this stupid yo-yo diet and lose the weight once and for all.
