Fat Fast
Lindsey Root - Sunday, January 03, 2010
It's the first week of
the New Year so I'm going to do something new for a couple of days. I'm
going to follow the "Fat Fast" for 3-4 days and than go right back to
following the Induction Phase. The "Fat Fast" was created by Dr Atkins for people who struggle losing
weight while even following a low carb lifestyle. My weight loss came
off fast in the beginning but now I've hit a stall and I'm ready to
break it. He recommended following it for 4-5 days to kick the body
back into fat burning mode to promote weight loss, curbed appetite,
and give positive lipolysis testing strips. I'm going to do it for 3-4
days and than go back to eating Induction friendly food. As stated in
Dr Atkins' New Diet Revolution book: "The "Fat Fast" is a controlled
carb program where you have to count calories. You eat 1000 calories a
day with seventy-five to ninety percent fat." You eat 5x a day with
each meal being around 200 calories. He lists some choices to eat
during the "Fat Fast" in his book in Chapter 20 called Metabolic
Resistance: Causes and Solutions. It's a new year and I'm ready to find
the new me for good! I will let you know how the fat fast goes each
day. What are you doing this week to start your New Year off right?
