“No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
That sure is easier said than done! As I’ve said before, words can hurt. I know sometimes when I look in the mirror I’m reminded of all of the mean things that my friends and people have told me throughout my life. “Wow Lindsey, did you gain weight?” or “Oh look! There’s thunder thighs.” Or “Are you really going to eat that?” I wish people would think before they speak, but some people don’t and they leave scars behind in the people they hurt. Remember that hurt people hurt people. The great thing about scars is that with time they fade and even go away. So look in the mirror with confidence and when those thoughts creep in remind yourself that you are better than that and soon those painful scars will fade. Take care of yourself and know that true beauty is within. Find a great support team that you can share your successes and struggles along the way of losing weight. It is so important to be around positive people when you are trying to accomplish a big goal. Don’t let other peoples comments make you feel inferior about yourself. What challenges do you face along your journey of losing weight?
