Journey to Break the Plateau
I’m about 20lbs away from my goal weight and I’ve been stuck at this plateau of 142-145lbs for about 4-5 months. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to break it long-term. Three months ago, I followed the Atkins Fat Fast for about a week and had great success and was very excited to get down to 135lbs. I jumped right into the Induction Phase of Atkins afterwards and probably should have slowly added more food back in over time. I kept off a couple of the pounds but gained most of them back.
One of our client’s recently introduced me to a weight loss aid to help boost my energy levels, suppress my appetite, and help increase my metabolism. Losing weight for me is a challenge in itself since I have hypothyroidism, so I was hopeful that this might help. I’m still continuing my low carb, weight loss journey and know that I will reach my goal weight someday soon. I'm frustrated with my current weight loss situation, but I'm not giving up! I've lost 30 pounds total in one year and I'm determined to lose the last 20 pounds within the next few months. Have you ever hit a plateau before? Girl, I know exactly what you are going through! I began Atkins along with weight and cardio training and lost 20 pounds, but then hit a plateau for months! Because I still had 20 extra pounds on my body, I began to exercise more and reduce calories. Can you beleive that I actually gained weight?? I was flabbergasted!!
So one night, in desperation-mode, I began searching for metabolism booster diets. I came across the HCG protocol. I don't know if you have heard of it, but I began to do some major research on it. Basically, HCG is a hormone that is present in a pregnant woman's body. I'm not very "scientific", so I suggest that you read the document written 50 years ago by Dr. Simeon called "Pounds and Inches". You can google it or I got a ton of my info from www.hcgfatloss.com. There are also forums that are very beneficial to read. I created one called, "Tiffany's Weight Loss Record R1".
Another reputable blog is called Gutless in Seattle.
Just a note, I personally do injections, but have read that the sublingual method is just as effective.
A word of warning: there are a ton of people selling "HCG Homeopathic Drops" on the Internet. These "drops" have very little to no HCG in them. To get the real deal in the US, one must either go to a local weight loss clinic (very expensive) or order it from an over-seas pharmacy. Yep, I was wary at first. I even got my first HCG from a local clinic, but realized I was wasting $100's of by not doing it myself.
