Low Carb Lemonade

When life gives you lemons, make lowcarb lemonade.  :-)

This week has been one of those weeks that I was ready for it to be over before it even started.  On Tuesday my company announced that lay-offs are coming in 2 months.  At first I was in shock, than I was completely freaking out, now I realize I have no control whether or not I keep my job.  I'm still trying to stay positive even though it's tough.  I'm not going to concentrate on things I can't control.  My job is not who I am.  It is just a part of my life.  I'm thankful for my job because it helps pay bills and keep food on the table but it is not where I find my identity.  Give your best in everything you do because than you can live without regrets.  "Being your best is not so much about overcoming the barriers other people place in front of you as it is about overcoming the barriers we place in front of ourselves.  It has nothing to do with how many times you win or lose.  It has no relation to where you finish in a race or whether you break world records.  But it does have everything to do with having the vision to dream, the courage to recover from adversity and the determination never to be shifted from you goals." -Kieren Perkins

Although my job may be unstable I'm not going to let my weight be the same.  I'm still staying focused on losing weight and ready to win this race.  I woke up this morning and weighed and I was happy to see that the scale was my friend.  I've lost another pound!!!  I'm in my 9th week of eating lowcarb and have lost 17lbs total.  I'm almost halfway to my goal and the finish line is near.  I'm going to keep on pushing and soon I will cross the finish line and win the race.  Steady wins the race.  Remember to "act as if you have already achieved your goal and it is yours." -Dr. Robert Anthony
