Rollarcoaster

Have you ever been on a rollercoaster before? First, you see it and the anticipation builds up. You can’t wait to ride that crazy rollercoaster with loops, and turns, and ups, and downs, Next, you join the long line to get to the front of that much anticipated ride. Once you get to the front of the line, your heart starts to beat fast, your hands and feet start to sweat because you don’t know what to expect or even know if you can handle what’s ahead, but you sit down buckle up and go. The ride begins and it’s too late to back out now. You go through twists and turns and ups and downs, and upside down. The ride is now done and you can’t believe you’ve made it through. You stand up and can’t wait to share with everyone how awesome that ride is and how everyone needs to go on it, but you know that it was the first and the last time you will ride that ride. It is a story you can tell or a picture you can show of your ride on the craziest rollercoaster around.
Rollercoasters remind me so much of the journey of losing weight. Because some weeks you’re up, you’ve gained weight or you haven’t lost anything at all, and than some weeks your down, you feel accomplished and proud of your weightloss. Sometimes you even end up upside down because you have one too many cheat days and have gained everything you’ve lost. Than you get to the end of the ride where you have reached your goal weight. You stand up and look back at what you’ve accomplished and you feel so proud. What a ride to lose all of that weight, but looking back at your journey you see all of the ups and downs and twists and turns and realize that if you can finish that rollercoaster you can do anything, but you know you don’t ever want to go through that rollercoaster again!
My first week I lost 3lbs.
My second week I lost 2lbs.
My third week I lost 3lbs.
My fourth week I lost 5lbs.
My fifth week I lost 1lb.
