Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Slow and steady wins the race.  This quote kept coming to my mind and I felt like I should share it.  In the beginning of your weight loss journey, the weight seems to come off so quickly.  For example, my first 4 weeks I was losing weight like crazy and than week 5 hit and all of a sudden my weight loss slowed down.  I’m now on week 6 and this week feels very similar to week 5.  The weight is not falling off on the scale.  I still haven’t dropped any weight yet this week, but that’s ok.  The most important thing about my weight loss journey is being steady and consistent with eating lowcarb.  I’d rather be at a stand still than fall down, gain weight and give up.  I’ve done that too many times and I’m not going to give up this time.  I’m not going to lie and say that eating healthy is always easy, because the truth is IT’S NOT!  But I heard this one time from a friend and I’ve always loved it ever since: “Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.”  Isn’t that the truth!  So hears to all the people out there trying to get thin.  We will get there and we will win the race!
